My Savage Mountain: The Kachin Prince and 1942

Modern Special Forces soldier Cheng Yan is caught in an explosion during a mission in Myanmar and transmigrates into the body of Bandura, a prince of the Kachin people.

When he opens his eyes, he finds the Nationalist army retreating through Savage Mountain, with corpses strewn everywhere and Japanese troops closing in.

Using modern tactics, he leads the scattered survivors through the encirclement and rescues the expeditionary force from the brink of destruction.

Just when the troops think they're safe, the British colonial army seizes the Kachin ancestral homeland, their sacred mountain.

“How can outsiders be allowed to lay hands on the land my people have guarded for generations?”

Bandura gathers hunters from eighteen villages and joins forces with the remnants of the Nationalist army to raise the Kachin battle flag atop the sacred mountain.

Amid the smoke of battle, a British officer points his gun at him and demands, “Who are you fighting for?”

He draws his Kachin blade. “For the Kachin people, and for the blood of my brothers-in-arms!”
