Synopsis of The New Investiture of the Gods
The battle of destiny, gods and demons clash. Who will rule the fate of the world?
At the end of the Shang dynasty and the beginning of the Zhou, Heaven and Earth are in turmoil, and gods and demons enter the mortal world.
The Nuwa Stone, left behind when Lady Nuwa mended the sky, appears in the world, sparking a struggle among the Three Realms. King Zhou of Shang insults the gods and incurs Heaven's punishment. On Nuwa's orders, the nine-tailed fox demon enters the palace to bewitch the ruler and hasten the fall of the Shang dynasty.
Jiang Ziya descends from the mountain on the orders of the Venerable Heavenly Primordial, takes charge of the Investiture of the Gods, and searches for the person chosen by destiny to help the Zhou overthrow the Shang. His junior fellow disciple Shen Gongbao, however, grows jealous and resentful, allies himself with monsters, and vows to defy Heaven and change his fate.
