The Chubby Girl of the Prosperous Tang: From the Start, I Pulled Yang Guifei from the System

Su Tang, a modern-day foodie, transmigrates into the Tang Dynasty as Su Tang, a chubby palace girl. She becomes a “life comparison” with Yang Guifei, who is favored above all the other consorts: the original owner was looked down on for being plump and plain, while Yang Guifei won favor with her famously voluptuous figure. After awakening the [Treasury of Delicacies System], Su Tang earns points by completing tasks such as “Make the Emperor smile” and “Dominate the palace banquet.” She uses the System’s shop to draw prizes and redeem treasures like slimming perfume, poetry memory cards, and recipes for Western Regions candied fruit, making a stunning comeback from a ridiculed “fat girl” to the apple of the Emperor’s eye. Along the way, she outwits the seemingly kind but secretly scheming faction of the jealous consort, the lovesick and obsessive clanswoman plotting in secret, and a former acquaintance jealous of her favor. She also dazzles everyone at famous historic events such as the Huaqing Palace banquet and the spring outing at Qujiang. In the end, she and Emperor Li Yu join forces to resolve the political crisis looming before the An Lushan Rebellion, making her a legend as a “chubby girl who won the Emperor’s favor.”
