Seven Days of Sin

When seven black Judgment Towers silently descend upon Earth, those chosen are forced to take part in a deadly game with the survival of civilization at stake. Meteorologist Qi Xia receives a mysterious pocket watch counting down seven days and discovers that this “game” is actually the forty-fourth cycle of an ancient civilization's reboot program. Search for records of humanity's original sin in the “Silent Library,” race against blazing spirits amid the 1987 Greater Khingan Mountains fire, and solve a moral paradox before a Yangtze River ferry sinks... Each Judgment Tower corresponds to a historical disaster that has been buried. As the game progresses, the seven players gradually realize that this so-called judgment is actually a mechanism of self-punishment created by humanity's collective subconscious. When the final day, “Seven Days of Cicada Song,” begins, Qi Xia must choose: erase the current civilization in exchange for a new beginning, or preserve every painful memory and continue the cycle? And the “Judge” lurking deep within the game's System has DNA that perfectly matches one of the players...
