Bonds from a Past Life

Synopsis Shen Zhixia is haunted by the same nightmare: on a stormy night, a man in red is bound in iron chains, blood and tears mingling with the rain as he whispers again and again, “Save me.” Then, when she touches a jade pendant engraved with “I will never fail you in the next life” in an antique shop, she transmigrates to the Great Yin Dynasty. The person before her is none other than Lu Zhaonan, the ghost from her dreams. Covered in scars, he is trapped in the ruins of a prince's residence, his fixation rooted in the treason case fifteen years ago that led to the execution of the entire Lu family. To help Lu Zhaonan let go of his fixation, Shen Zhixia poses as the last surviving member of the Lu family and navigates the political machinations of the court. As they gradually uncover the truth behind the Lu family's framing, they discover that the conspiracy is intricately connected to Shen Zhixia's family in the present day. As they investigate, a love that transcends time quietly blossoms. But as Lu Zhaonan's memories come together, he discovers that only by severing his bond with Shen Zhixia can he save her from the disaster fate has in store…
