A Cat’s First Words

A deranged, lovesick genius jungler × a calm, softhearted, self-possessed data analyst [Esports + angsty romance + wealthy family + younger man + healing + both leads are virgins] When you call me “sis,” it’s like licking a piece of poisonous candy. The first time Jiang Zhi met Ning Zhiyu, he had a lollipop in his mouth and was lounging lazily in his gaming chair, playing ranked. Jing on the screen was making one killing after another in the enemy’s jungle, while the boy in front of her, with his innocent, harmless face, tilted his head and smiled at her. Then, the very next second, he treated a scrim like a casual match and slaughtered the opposition, making the coach so furious he threw down the strategy board. Everyone said Koi of the SJ team was the hardest jungler in esports to tame. His mechanics were top-tier and his looks were out of this world, but he had a willful, sharp-tongued, difficult personality. The team had gone through three managers, and not one of them could keep him in line. Jiang Zhi refused to be intimidated. She took out her data analysis report and calmly pointed out every one of his mistakes. The boy propped his chin on his hand and listened. Then he suddenly leaned close to her ear, his voice as sweet as melted strawberry candy. “Sis, you’re keeping such a close eye on me... Don’t tell me you have a crush on me?” She pushed him away without changing her expression. “I’m not interested in kids.” From clashing at every turn to loving only one person I can’t even make you a promise, so how could I dare hold you back for the rest of your life? If loving you is a high-stakes gamble, I’m not even qualified to place a bet. It’s not that I don’t want to stay with you to the end. I can’t even see my own path clearly. Theme: A genius esports player’s twisted love, trapped in the jungle and unable to escape. Content warning: The leads get sexually involved in the middle and later parts of the story. The male lead has a deranged, lovesick personality. If that’s not for you, don’t read.
