Proving the Dao in Dreams: I Slaughtered My Way Through My Dream World

“Mr. Ling Yun, are you saying you had an incredibly lifelike dream? In the dream, did you keep reliving the same day? And could you do anything you wanted, no matter how outrageous?”

“Of course not. It’s not like I was playing Grand Theft Auto! I can tell the difference between a game and a dream.”

“Then tell me what was in your dream.”

“There was a world much like the modern one, and a separate space measuring three square meters. At first, it was only one square meter. It grew to three after I completed… certain tasks.”

“All right. Have you been under any pressure lately to buy a home or get married?”

“I’m rich. I own two homes outright inside Kyoto’s Second Ring Road!”

“Good. Please continue.”

“In the world of the dream, after I performed certain actions, I’d be sent back here.”

“Besides the increase in size, did you receive any other rewards?”

“Yes. That’s the strange part.”

“Go on.”

“The bonus for the second square meter was my own skull from when I was three months and eight days old.”

“The second? And what about the third square meter?”

“My own skull from when I was three months and nine days old!”

Director Luo, the best psychiatrist in Kyoto, nodded and scribbled furiously. “Go on. I’m listening.”
