On a stormy night, Chen Mo receives a bronze box marked with bloody handprints. His life is rewritten by The Nightwalking Ledger.
Every word he writes with his fountain pen burns away his lifespan. After he shares his fate with A Ci, whose body is wrapped in bloodstained bandages, an identical mark appears around his neck.
When Chen Mo sees his suited reflection in the glass smiling as it offers him milk tea, a school crest from 1943 appears at the bottom of the cup.
A Ci runs her fingertips over the collar of her faded school uniform and whispers:
“Change one more rule... Cut me out of history.”
