The Child Groom I Was Betrothed to at Five Has Arrived

[Down-and-out, soft-spoken but sharp-tongued boy × resilient, radiant but rebellious girl] [Teenage love + reunion after years apart + fun school life + mistaken turns + small-town story + growing together + a touch of ensemble cast + sweet youth romance + devoted couple, happy ending] When Jiang Nan was five, her cruel father sent her to a gang of kidnappers, where she met an unlucky chubby boy. The little chubby boy was spoiled and fussy, but he was willing to secretly slip his steamed bun into her hand. The day they were rescued, an elderly couple with snow-white hair held him in their arms, calling to him over and over: “Cheche...” Jiang Nan silently repeated it twice. Cheche. What a special name. On the day they parted, she hugged the sniffling little chubby boy and made a random promise: “Since you shared your food with me, how about I make lots of money and take care of you when you come find me someday?” Thirteen years later. Eighteen-year-old Jiang Nan is minding her family's run-down guesthouse when a strange guest checks in. He's handsome, holds a grudge, and acts like they've known each other forever. And he has an unusual name: Chi He. Many years later. Chi He looks at the girl in front of him. “Hmm? You promised to take care of me, so why are you pretending not to know me?” The girl sticks out her tongue at him. “Hmph! I'm rejecting the ship the kidnappers set me up with!”
