The Feng Shui Master's Day-to-Day Life of Slacking Off

The Daily Life of a Feng Shui Master Who Neglects His Day Job follows Lin Xiaoluo, the son of a former feng shui master, as he conceals his identity and takes a job as a property assistant at Yunfeng Tower in Haizhou to investigate the truth behind his father’s mysterious fall to his death three years earlier. In the spring of 2025, strange incidents plague the tower: ghostly figures in mirrors, malfunctioning elevators, and cracking walls. Lin Xiaoluo discovers that these “feng shui anomalies” are actually the result of shoddy construction by the Jiuxing Group: steel bars corroded by sea-sand concrete, radioactive waste mixed into the materials, and an inspector buried alive to silence him. With help from lawyer Xu Man, architecture student Lu Zhixing, and the mysterious Zhou brothers, a pair of workers, he uncovers the construction scandal his father had disguised in feng shui terminology. He learns that his father died taking the blame to protect Zhou Weiguo, the inspector who had exposed the truth. As the tower’s tilt and collapse enter their final countdown, Lin Xiaoluo fights the Jiuxing Group to the death. At last, amid the ruins, he pieces together a chain of evidence spanning 27 years of blood and tears, bringing the capitalists’ conspiracy of “buildings that eat people” into the light of day.
