Teacher Ling Is So Sweet

The mystery surrounding her father has always haunted Ling Shuang. All she wants is to study abroad, return home with her wings fully grown, and then seek out the truth about what happened back then. But everything goes off course when her usually kind stepfather threatens her mother's life and forces her to become his pawn. When they first meet in Louisiana, Gu Xiao is a mafia arms dealer. He orders Ling Shuang, “If you want to live, do exactly as I say.” When they meet again in Yancheng, Gu Xiao has become Lord Xiao, a man whose name inspires terror, as well as a philanthropist who funds education. She takes the initiative, turning Lord Xiao into a tool for her revenge. Unbeknownst to her, Ling Shuang has long been the prey in Gu Xiao's eyes. He carefully lays his plans, willingly playing along just to help her. Everything that seems to fall naturally into place is the result of his long-planned love. When Ling Shuang realizes what is going on, she asks, “Gu Xiao, who are you really? Are you with the government?” “Does that matter?” A soft light seems to gleam in Gu Xiao's eyes, as if he is smiling.
