Reborn in 1981: Hunting in Northeast China

After an accident, Xu Hong'an discovered that he had returned to 1981, to Kaoshan Village beneath the vast Changbai Mountains.

In his previous life, he had wasted his days doing nothing and left behind far too many regrets. This time, he would never let history repeat itself.

Clubs brought down roe deer, and fish could be scooped up with a gourd. Pheasants even flew straight into the cooking pot.

The black mountains and clear waters of the Northeast held countless riches. Starting out as a falconer, Xu Hong'an caught hawks and raised eagles. With a rifle on his back and a dog at his side, he resolutely ventured deep into the Changbai Mountains.

His goal was to lead a yellow hound and carry a goshawk, wearing a brocade cap and sable coat as he swept over the mountain ridges!

For Xu Hong'an, this was the best of times. Having lived again, all he wanted was for his family to be safe, for his wife and children to be warm at home, and to hunt, fish, gather ginseng, drink, and feast on meat as they enjoyed a happy, comfortable life.
