An asteroid from beyond Earth is on course to strike the planet. It is successfully intercepted and blown to pieces within the Earth-Moon system. Within a week, the fragments pass through the atmosphere and scatter across the globe. This is the origin of the “shipgirl cores.”
Intact fragments are called shipgirl cores, while incomplete ones are known as auxiliary cores. By adding various materials to a core, it can be activated, giving birth to a beautiful girl. These girls can access the pocket dimensions they carry and summon the spaceships already encoded in their cores. Only a complete core can summon a fully equipped ship, however, and its holder takes on a role similar to that of a captain.
Incomplete auxiliary cores can also be used to activate girls, but they are divided into different types according to the functions they retain: firepower cores, detection cores, energy cores, and so on. Shipgirls born from these incomplete cores must connect to a shipgirl with a complete core through an access authorization in order to gain permission to operate the ship’s various sections. At the same time, humans who activate cores experience brain development and awaken a corresponding “Admiral Network.” Depending on the core type, they develop command networks, firepower networks, detection networks, energy networks, and more. By strengthening these networks, they can improve their shipgirls’ attributes, much like leveling up and allocating stat points.
Humans and shipgirls work together, allowing their ships to function at full capacity.
It was this system that ushered humanity into a magnificent age of spacefaring.
