Compassionate Hands

Worldview:

The Three Realms are in turmoil, the Yellow Emperor's bloodline is on the verge of extinction, the Ghost Doctors' lineage steals from heaven to alter fate, and undercurrents surge throughout the Southern Ming Dynasty. Su Qianbai, a physician from Medicine King Valley, bears the Eight Desolations Dragon Vein, yet does not know she is the reincarnation of the Yellow Emperor's second daughter. Pei Xueya, heir to the Blue Pouch Guard, sacrifices his crystalline heart to conceal his dual identity. The Ghost Doctors' leader, Ye Wuhen, is consumed by obsession. Using the Strange Scroll of Shennong, he turns the living into puppets, vowing to resurrect Bai Suyi.

Core Conflict:

Medicine King Valley is massacred, the Crown Prince is afflicted with the “Sand Between the Fingers” Gu poison, and a tide of corpses sweeps across the Northern Frontier. Su Qianbai enters the deadly game alone to break the “Medicine Puppet Curse,” only to fall into a Heavenly Dao killing trap set by the Yellow Emperor's true spirit. Pei Xueya gouges out his heart to suppress the dragon, and before his crystalline heart shatters, he leaves her one final divination: “A healer must sever the bloodline to break the decree of heaven.”

Finale:

Earthfire from the imperial tombs scorches the heavens. Su Qianbai shatters her own dragon vein and unleashes the Qi Huang Tribulation Hand to tear apart the horned-dragon puppet. Pei Xueya transforms into ten thousand ice butterflies to seal away the Night Owl, their wings inscribed with a new Blue Pouch Book. Three years later, a traveling physician wanders the deserts of the north, saving lives. A shadow of colored glass silently follows behind, while a paired-fish jade pendant softly chimes in the wind and snow like a sigh.

Theme: The path of medicine must ultimately sever the bloodline. Why should a benevolent heart need to ask for eternal life?
