Bewitched by Fear

This is the extraordinary life story of Li Feng, a veteran. After leaving the military, Li Feng feels lost in the face of an ordinary life. By chance, he hears tales of jade in Myanmar's Hpakant mining region. Fired up by stories full of mystery and adventure, he resolutely sets out for the mines.

In Hpakant, Li Feng sees the region's chaotic and dangerous side. The mines are harsh, and various factions scheme and fight openly and in secret over jade resources. But thanks to the skills he honed in the army, he becomes a sniper instructor for a local armed group. He not only teaches the fighters sniping, but also builds their mental resilience and teamwork.

At the stone-gambling grounds, his keen eye and good fortune earn him fame when he wins a bet on high-quality jade, drawing him deeper into the jade trade. Along the way, he meets Su Wan, a jewelry-shop owner. Jade brings them together, and their feelings gradually grow stronger. As they face the many crises in the mining region, from attacks by rival factions to battles over territory, they support each other and confront the dangers together.

After weathering many twists and turns in the stone-gambling tournament, Li Feng ultimately claims the championship through sheer skill, bringing honor to himself and his faction. Yet the crises in the mining region never cease. In a final showdown with their enemies, everyone joins forces. Though they pay a terrible price, they successfully defend their home.

After enduring countless trials of life and death and many emotional twists, Li Feng and Su Wan choose to leave the mining region and begin a new life in a peaceful town. They run a jewelry shop, turning their past experiences into stories as they continue writing their own legendary tale amid the quiet of everyday life.
