The Red Walls Cannot Be Crossed

In her previous life, she was the legitimate daughter of a marquis's household, but her half-sister gouged out her eyes and severed her fingers, while three hundred members of her clan were slaughtered at Vermilion Bird Gate. Reborn on the night of her coming-of-age ceremony, she stains her fingers with stardust and hides a blade of ice in her gaze, grinding her enemies' bones into a ladder to heaven. My book is malicious filler, haha.

The Crown Prince brands her a “calamity-bringing star,” so she lets the blood-red glow of Mars guarding the heart burn the Eastern Palace to ashes. Her half-sister steals her phoenix destiny, so she turns her into a human pig and imprisons her in a well in the Cold Palace. The Emperor tries to clip her wings, so she forges poison from meteoric iron and sends the Son of Heaven to his death.

The celestial charts of the Imperial Astronomical Bureau become the blade with which she slaughters; the Yellow River's raging, turbid waters become the ink with which she overturns the verdict. The blood letters of deposed concubines in the Cold Palace, the alliance with the Western Regions' iron cavalry, and the fingerprints of talented women from poor families all become pieces in her hand, with which she overturns heaven and earth.
