A True Record of the Entertainment Industry

Xiao Xiang, a former talent-show champion and gifted singer, joined a twenty-four-hour survival reality show five years into her career in the entertainment industry. The show's previous season had scored a 1.3 and drawn scorn from countless viewers. Before filming even began, entertainment bloggers gave Xiao Xiang five stars on the likelihood-of-crashing-and-burning scale, and countless people waited to see her make a fool of herself. Also expected to flop was Zhong Qin, a nobody newcomer to the entertainment industry: an actor with no work to his name, only scandals. There were no fans wailing in dismay, just plenty of people eager to watch the drama unfold. Who could have guessed that Xiao Xiang would be the real deal, both genuinely talented and a true CEO type, while Zhong Qin would turn out to be a genuinely sunny, cheerful puppy? The two stayed true to their images, while someone else was the one who crashed and burned. Under the unblinking cameras of a twenty-four-hour livestream, the guests each had their own agendas, while the viewers sat down to pass judgment. Was it a calculated attempt to get close, or love at first sight that could no longer be held back? In the entertainment industry, false affection is common, but sincerity is hard to find. Xiao Xiang and Zhong Qin had never crossed paths before, but a reality show with a terrible reputation brought them together. It really was love at first sight, and the attempt to get close was real, too.
