Paranormal Case Files

[Based on real events] [A purely supernatural account of folk history] [Just come in and read: these are no ordinary supernatural events, and stories like these are ones you won't find in other books]

Every nation has its own official history, recording turbulent times. Yet in all the history books, not a single people's history has survived from the Spring and Autumn period.

But an ordinary person's life can be full of wonder and strange adventures too.

Take me, for example. I was born in 1973, in a remote mountain village in Fangshi, Qingchuan County, Sichuan.

I've always felt that China is a mysterious land. As far back as I can remember, my mountain hometown was filled with countless tales of ghosts and monsters.

Zombies, fox spirits, little ghosts, and the like: these are exactly the strange yet true events from those years that I'll be telling you about.

These little histories of common folk, buried beneath the official records and left unnoticed and unrecorded, are stories I will set down here.

So there are no powerful, beautiful protagonists, only an ordinary middle-aged man like me, one true and uncanny tale after another, and the real people of flesh and blood who passed through more than fifty years of life.
