I Turned My Fishing Boat into a Cruiser, and the Nation Hid Me Away Overnight

Chen Yang transmigrated into the body of an overworked corporate drone in a parallel world.

Gifted with the ability to modify things, he was ordered by his company to appear on the wildly popular show Tech Explosion.

On the show, host Lin Wei read out a challenge randomly submitted by a viewer.

The production crew wanted Chen Yang to turn an old motorcycle into a cruiser on the spot.

Faced with a challenge that treated carbon-based life forms like dirt, Chen Yang had no choice but to ask the System for help.

“Turning a motorcycle into a cruiser probably isn’t feasible.”

“But with a fishing boat, we could at least fit a twin-turbocharged diesel engine and a 300-meter electromagnetic naval cannon...”

“If you can get me a fishing boat, though, I can modify it right here.”

When Chen Yang offered his suggestion, the studio erupted.

Good grief, he really did build an actual cruiser!

“Contestant Chen Yang, is it possible that ‘cruiser’ was just a nickname for a motorcycle?”

Only after hearing the host’s correction did Chen Yang realize he’d misunderstood.

He thought it was just a huge mix-up.

But what Chen Yang never expected was that the “helpful viewer,” armed to the teeth, would actually track him down a few days later.

They demanded he make good on the boast he’d made during the show.

From then on, Chen Yang became an outright modification maniac!

Navy: “Holy crap! A 300-millimeter electromagnetic cannon that can fire in bursts? Are you building a rocket-powered minigun?”

Firefighters: “Wait, I asked you to build a drone, and you made a Gundam?!”

Traffic police: “Hey, man, this patrol car can take off? Are you trying to make our traffic squad recruit an air force?”
