Zhu Yuanzhang's Soul Transmigrates to the Late Ming, Rebuilding a Golden Age

What should Hongwu Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang do after transmigrating to the end of the Ming dynasty to turn the tide and save the crumbling empire?

Zhu Yuanzhang was reviewing memorials in his palace when the world suddenly spun around him and a blinding light filled his vision. When he opened his eyes again, he found himself in an unfamiliar place.

“Where is this? How did my imperial palace become so dilapidated?” Zhu Yuanzhang furrowed his brow, filled with confusion and suspicion.

Just then, a little eunuch rushed in. Seeing Zhu Yuanzhang, he froze for a moment, then dropped to his knees with a thud. “Your Majesty, why are you here? Li Zicheng’s army is about to break in. Please think of something!”

Zhu Yuanzhang’s heart lurched. He grabbed the little eunuch by the collar. “What did you say? Li Zicheng? What in the world is going on? How could my Ming dynasty have come to this?”

Trembling all over, the little eunuch stammered out an account of the situation at the end of the Ming dynasty. Zhu Yuanzhang’s eyes blazed with fury. “My descendants were so incompetent that they ruined the empire I fought to establish!”

Just then, hurried footsteps sounded outside. The Chongzhen Emperor, Zhu Youjian, had arrived.

“Who are you? Why are you in my palace?” Chongzhen looked at Zhu Yuanzhang with wary eyes.

Zhu Yuanzhang gave a cold snort. “I am Zhu Yuanzhang. You unworthy descendant, just look at what you’ve done to the Ming dynasty!”

Chongzhen was first shocked, then dropped to his knees with a thud. “Great Ancestor, your grandson has failed. The Ming dynasty is on the brink of ruin. I beg you to save it!”
