Rules of Horror Descend, and I Get a Rule Editor

One day, the whole world is plunged into unprecedented panic: rule-based horror stories have arrived. Anyone could be randomly selected and sent into a bizarre dungeon full of strange phenomena and death. There is no way out. The only rule is: survive. But Lin Zhou is lucky, or rather… absurdly lucky. On his very first trip into a dungeon, he draws a legendary talent: the Rule Modifier. While everyone else follows the rules nervously in hopes of surviving, Lin Zhou grins and changes them. “Forbidden to look directly into mirrors? How about we change that to ‘You’re safe as long as you’re uglier than your reflection.’” No matter how terrifying these rule-based horror stories get, they’re no match for a goofy genius who can “modify the rules”! But just when he thinks he’s invincible, the truth hidden behind the rules quietly begins to emerge: not every rule can be changed.
