Just a Bystander, but Overpowered

(Abandoned ending; written to practice my prose, don’t read.) One day, Chen Yun was dumped into the cultivation world. She thought she’d landed the role of the female lead, only to be told she wasn’t the protagonist or even a supporting character. She didn’t even qualify as cannon fodder! Chen Yun: I’m afraid to open my eyes. I hope this is just a hallucination. No worries. Chen Yun, who was quick to accept reality, said it was a minor issue. Living her own life mattered more than anything. But could someone tell her what was wrong with the original novel’s heroine? Why had she suddenly started hating a nobody like her? She was just a nobody, okay?! Then Chen Yun was forced to take on the villain’s role and oppose the heroine. After dutifully opposing her for years, Chen Yun was finally judged by the heroine’s many suitors and made her exit with regret. Chen Yun: (lying flat) Come on, don’t hold back. I’m just a delicate flower. (giving up) Then she was kicked right back to the beginning of it all. Chen Yun: (offers a polite greeting) * A terrifying Demon Lord whom everyone despised had suddenly appeared in the cultivation world. At first, she only terrorized the disciples of a few small sects. No one paid it any mind. But later, people turned pale at the mention of Chen. Chen Yun: (swinging a little whip) She’s back, and this time she’s taking back everything that’s hers! (screams) (screams) * The book flopped, and the author may look normal, but has actually been losing it for a while. Since nobody’s reading, the author’s about to go absolutely berserk! Aaaaaah!
