The Spirit Realm Codebreaker

Ensemble cast, healing, comedy, lighthearted. A protagonist who grows over time. There have always been supernatural happenings in this world. The earliest beings to possess supernatural powers were the “spirit people.” The resentment born from countless deaths threatens the balance of the world. The great “One” created the “spirit people” to dispel hatred and preserve that balance. “Spirit people” are beings with human appearances. They have extremely short lifespans and can communicate with the dead, as well as wield unique spiritual powers gained through perceiving the laws of the world. The “spirit people” are also the most pitiful. For various unknown reasons, they are born into the bodies of fetuses that died in the womb, taking the place of the unborn children and living on. They are born with special destinies, condemned to endure the painful loneliness and sorrow of grief. Each of the countless worlds has its own “spirit people.” Born in different worlds, the “spirit people” encounter different technologies, systems, and species… They devote their lives to their worlds, and those worlds repay them in turn. When a “spirit person” dies, their world prepares a grand funeral for them. The worlds where “spirit people” gather have their own courts, currencies, official posts… They dispel the mysteries of the world and reveal the truth to its people. They endure endless sorrow, cut off from ordinary human life. They see through the world, yet return with their kindness intact. They are neither human nor god. They are outsiders in this world, and do not belong to it. They are a species obtained through a bargain.
