A thousand years ago, the Realm Dragon, which roamed the sea of stars, devoured countless living planets, Earth among them. The magical energy inside it wrecked much of their technology while giving rise to countless powerful magical beasts on planets throughout the cosmos. The planets, crowded together, also went to war with one another. Earth came perilously close to being conquered! Fortunately, humanity’s pioneers developed the profession of Beast Tamer, saving the human race from extinction and even making it one of the three dominant powers in the universe. Zhan Luan, who died in the apocalypse, was reborn in Rusty Harbor, in this universe. He stared in utter bewilderment at the breathable outer space and the coal-burning spaceship passing by. He had inherited this world’s Zhan Luan identity, along with the awakened Guardian Spirit Beast: Amamiya, the assassin cone snail! And, of course, there was his Beast Taming talent, Chaos Fusion, which let him temporarily fuse two creatures under his control. But the dead assassin in his room made him realize just how dire things were. To survive and grow stronger, he decided to follow his predecessor’s path and enroll at Hyperion Beast Taming Academy, a school converted from an old space battleship. There, he was about to meet all sorts of interesting Beast Tamers, such as Biko, a retired star of the Beast Taming League Championship, and his beast, Black Mamba; his classmate Ding Jia and his Cheese Snow Leopard; and senior student Guo Zhu’s Sea Cucumber King... But right now, the most important thing was getting rid of the assassins on his tail. To change his appearance, and lacking fusion materials, Zhan Luan decided to use Chaos Fusion with his Guardian Spirit Beast, Amamiya.
