Zhang Yunlei: Borrowing a Candy from the Stars

[Redemption + unrequited love + reunion after years apart + showbiz + pure-hate romance + angst before sweetness + descent into ruin] “You once fought with everything you had to get me out of that little alley. But now, seeing you sink into the mud, I'll fight just as hard to drag you out.” In 2008, Zhang Yunlei came to Beijing to chase his dreams. Cheap rent brought him to a run-down alley, where he got a job as the manager of a shabby internet cafe. Su Bingmo often came to use the internet. She seemed to be about his age, and would accompany him on his walk home after work. At first, Zhang Yunlei couldn't understand why she kept urging him to leave the alley, until... he witnessed a brutal bullying incident with his own eyes. Nineteen-year-old Zhang Yunlei left a letter and disappeared without a word. He never knew that the girl in that little alley had already planted the seeds of love in his heart. In 2018, Zhang Yunlei became famous overnight for “Tan Qingshui He.” When he ran into Su Bingmo at a restaurant, she had become a well-known agent in the industry. What Zhang Yunlei hadn't expected was that the girl he remembered had sunk into the mud. She had become a complete madwoman, feeling nothing but hatred for him. As they meet again and again, they test and pull at each other. Zhang Yunlei begins to understand that she was already broken from the very beginning... They save each other. “I borrowed a candy from the stars, wishing my beloved a peaceful life for the rest of her days.” Entirely fictional. Please don't associate this with the real person.
