At the end of the Shang dynasty, he becomes Daji's younger brother and a close aide to King Zhou, fighting against the curse of an inescapable fate. In the ancient lands between the two rivers, he is Gilgamesh's only friend besides Enkidu, and raises the banner of rebellion against the gods.
