A History of Romance in Another World: From the Start, a Succubus Pledged Herself to Me

The ancient gods were divided into two factions. The righteous gods, led by Fren, the God of Light, embodied supreme goodness and beauty. The demon gods, led by Warren, the God of Destruction, embodied the most vile and wicked evil. For millions of years, the two factions used humans, demons, beasts, and the undead as pieces in their struggle. At last, in the great war a thousand years ago, they entered the fray themselves. Their battle shook the mountains and seas and darkened the heavens, until both sides were utterly destroyed. The old gods faded into history, and a new god, Vimir, was born. He gathered followers in great numbers and continually sent down miracles to save the suffering human race. As his followers multiplied over time, they formed a church that united all the nations. Thus began a new chapter in Narn's history. Yet the fall of the gods only destroyed those who lacked sufficient power. The six mightiest chief gods, leaders of the righteous gods and demon gods, had merely been gravely wounded and fallen into an endless slumber. Fren, the God of Light; Sudalian, the God of Magic; Hemir, the Goddess of Nature; Warren, the God of Destruction; Ymir, the God of Desire; and Siti, the God of Curses: their divine bodies were shattered, but their souls endured, retreating into the void to recover. But what the six chief gods never expected was that, during their slumber in the void, their souls would be drawn together by a strange force and slowly merge. After nearly a thousand years of transformation, they ultimately gave rise to a new god, known as Hades, the God of Chaos. He possessed the world-shattering power of all six chief gods, as well as the divine aspects they represented: righteousness, reason, kindness, destruction, lust, and cruelty. These divine aspects should have repelled one another, so their union made him profoundly chaotic.
