My Icy, Sweet Wife: I Spoil You as a Divine Doctor

“That Dr. Lin looks so young. Is he any good?” “Who knows? Director Wang insisted on bringing him in. He's probably another hire with connections.” Their hushed voices jabbed at my ears like needles. I stood at the end of the hospital corridor, looking at my name on the new-doctor notice board: Lin Yu, freshly posted, the ink still smelling new. I took a deep breath and told myself not to care, but my thoughts still felt like a tangled ball of yarn.

As a rule, a new doctor should keep his head down when he first arrives, but I refused to. I strode over to the waiting area and gave the patients' family members, each wearing a different expression, a bright smile. “Hello, everyone! I'm Lin Yu, the new doctor. I look forward to working with you!”
