The Peak of a Political Career: Starting as a Deputy County Party Secretary

(Not a rebirth story, no cheating, and leans toward traditional political fiction.) The Du family controls the mineral resources, wealthy and powerful, with a hand in everything? I'll take on your interests, remove officials who hog their positions, promote green mines, clean up pollution, and restore our green mountains and clear waters! The Huang family controls the gold, jewelry, and paper industries? I'll make room for new businesses and drive industrial upgrades, ruthlessly eliminating whatever needs to go. The Zhu family has tangled roots and a sprawling network of influence, with officials everywhere? I'll strike them where it hurts and bring the bad guys to justice! I'm only the county party deputy secretary, the third-ranking official. The county magistrate and county party secretary don't even get along. But I'm only thirty, and I have the people's support, party discipline and the law behind me, and my wife's imperial sword of authority. What do I have to fear? Just get on with it! Punish the corrupt and evil, serve the people, bring prosperity to the region, and rise through the ranks!
