One year in the near future, a devastating and deadly virus breaks out on Earth, killing more than half of the world's population. The endless sea seems to have become a divine territory that viruses cannot enter, and the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer "Nathan James" commanded by Captain Tom Candler (played by Eric Dane) has become a Noah's Ark drifting aimlessly after divine punishment and waiting for forgiveness. In order to preserve his strength and ensure that the two pathogenologists on board developed antidotes, Captain Candler defied the call of the U. S. Provisional Government and took the crew on a long journey. However, the dangers became more and more dangerous along the way. They had to dock at ports and land for supplies and vaccines.
