2 Broke Girls

Max (Kat Dennings), a feisty woman with dark hair, works at a cheap restaurant in Brooklyn, New York. Her coworkers include Han Lee (Matthew Moy), the short Asian owner; Oleg (Jonathan Kite), a cook who loves making dirty jokes; and Earl (Garrett Morris), an elderly cashier. The restaurant's newest waitress, Caroline (Beth Behrs), is tall and blonde, with the air of a socialite, completely out of place in such a run-down establishment. Max begins to question Caroline's background and learns by chance that she was once a genuine Manhattan heiress, but after her father went bankrupt, she fell on hard times and ended up working at the restaurant. Sharp-tongued but soft-hearted, Max takes in the homeless Caroline. Though they come from different backgrounds, being equally broke brings the two girls together as friends, and they decide to open a cupcake shop together.
