After a Heartless Woman Broke Me, My Brother and I Called Off Our Engagements at the Same Time

Before my engagement, my room suddenly caught fire, and shards of exploding glass pierced deep into my body.

My friend Lin Ze shielded me as he helped me escape the flames.

At the hospital, he stayed by my side as I hovered near death and called my fiancée, Gu Tingting.

She replied nonchalantly, “Zhibai has an upset stomach, so I’m staying with him while he gets an IV. It’s nothing. I have to go!”

Furious, Lin Ze cursed her out, then called his own girlfriend, Shen Xiuyan, and asked her to help find a specialist.

“Can you stop making a fuss? Zhibai isn’t feeling well, so I’m finding him an old Chinese doctor!”

When I returned from the brink of death and met Lin Ze’s eyes, I said gravely, “I want to call off the engagement.”

Without hesitation, Lin Ze replied, “If you’re calling yours off, so am I.”

As it turned out, both women panicked.
