Sinking Into the Evening Breeze

After four years together, her fiancé got involved with another woman while away on a business trip. Not only did he get her pregnant, he even moved her straight into the home he and Su Zhi were supposed to share after their wedding.

Because his mistress said she was suffering from morning sickness, her fiancé abandoned Su Zhi without hesitation and left their engagement banquet.

As her feelings slowly withered away, Su Zhi went to her fiancé’s older brother and begged him to help call off the wedding. That was her first contact with Shang Mo in years.

-

One night, Su Zhi got drunk at a dinner party, and Shang Mo came to her rescue. Rumors about the two of them spread throughout the capital, and Su Zhi learned just how much influence a CEO could have.

He took her to the Civil Affairs Bureau to get their marriage license, and they moved in together after the wedding. Su Zhi thought theirs would be a marriage in name only, but he refused when she suggested sleeping in separate beds. He refused that, too.

When her ex came back, regretting everything and refusing to leave her alone, Su Zhi tried to appease the jealous Shang Mo. Gathering her courage, she grabbed his tie and kissed him, then kissed him several more times to please him. Still, the man in front of her didn’t react.

Just as she was about to give up, she heard the partition behind them rise.

“Would my wife like to try getting intimate in the car?” Shang Mo wrapped one arm around her waist, refusing to let her go. His voice was seductive as he edged closer, bit by bit.

When their passion reached its peak, they gazed into each other’s eyes.

Only when she saw the triumphant smile at the corner of his lips did Su Zhi realize he had done it on purpose. After everything that had happened since their wedding, she finally saw through his intentions.

“You scheming bastard!”

Far from getting angry, Shang Mo gladly accepted the accusation. “If I didn’t use a few tricks, how could I win my wife over?”

“But now that you’ve been won over and you’re mine, I won’t give you a chance to escape from my side.”
