Reborn in the Entertainment Industry: This Time, I’m Building My Career!

This is a work of fiction. Please don't associate it with real people! As pioneers of on-screen celebrity pairings in the entertainment industry, Pan Xiaota and Zhong Pengfei have always been industry role models and the idols of countless aspiring newcomers. They worked together for fifteen years without a single rumor of discord. Now that Zhong Pengfei is preparing to move behind the scenes, speculation that the duo might split up is flooding social media. Then, suddenly, news of Pan Xiaota's death breaks! Countless fans weep, unable to accept this cruel reality! It isn't until the day of the funeral, when Zhong Pengfei stands with the family to receive mourners, that the world realizes: had the two of them been together all along?! Pan Xiaota feels as if he's had a very, very long dream. In it, he achieved fame and success, only to die suddenly at home in the prime of his life! He drifts through the dream for a long time, watching his longtime partner sort through his belongings one by one and take care of every last detail after his death. At last, everything is settled, and his life is laid to rest for good! He watches as Zhong Pengfei visits his grave every month, clears away the weeds, and leaves a bouquet of his favorite gray roses. Through changing seasons, year after year... He thinks the dream will go on forever, until on the anniversary of his death, Zhong Pengfei never comes. Then the empty grave beside his, which had waited all these years, finally welcomes the person it had been reserved for.
