The Devoted Protector of the Obsessive Cult Leader

Version One: As the left protector of the Netherfire Sect, He Li had to handle the sect’s affairs during the day. The sect leader, Ouyang Xuan, looked at He Li coldly. The person he loved was as pure as the moon in the sky, nothing like a filthy, lowborn person like He Li. He Li gave a bitter smile. “If I offend your eyes so much, Sect Leader, why not kick me out of the Netherfire Sect? Then you won’t have to be annoyed by me.” Ouyang Xuan gripped He Li’s wrist and squeezed hard. “Dream on!” One-on-one, mutual firsts, happy ending, and a story about putting scumbags in their place. Version Two: High above the Nine Heavens, Lord Chonghui and Lord Lengyang openly defied the heavenly laws and fell in love. The Celestial Emperor sent the two immortals down to the mortal realm to undergo trials, making Lord Chonghui an orphan from childhood who had to beg for a living. Who could have guessed that another immortal, the Real Person Zihe, had secretly loved Lord Chonghui for ten thousand years? Taking advantage of a moment when the other immortals weren’t paying attention, he descended to the mortal realm and transformed into He Li to save Lord Chonghui (Ouyang Xuan). He Li thought that since he had arrived early in this life and devoted himself wholeheartedly to treating Ouyang Xuan well, he was sure to win Ouyang Xuan’s love. But even though Lord Lengyang arrived much later, Ouyang Xuan still fell in love with him at first sight. When Ouyang Xuan’s long sword pierced He Li’s chest, the light in He Li’s eyes went out completely. In the end, all his painstaking efforts had been nothing but a joke. He Li swept his long sleeves and returned to the heavens, becoming the Real Person Zihe once more. He had no idea that Ouyang Xuan was currently frantically searching through the Book of Life and Death in the underworld, hoping to find the name of his wife, He Li... The crowd-pleasing “chasing your wife to the crematorium” trope
