The Peddler’s Ashen Road in Mysterious Revival

A fanfiction based on Mysterious Revival. In the middle and later stages, he will take control of the Ghost Peddler. The shadow of supernatural revival blankets the earth. Evil spirits run rampant, the rules have collapsed, and humanity clings to life in fear. From the moment Cao Yang stepped into the supernatural world, he was destined to walk alongside darkness. He wields a pair of ghost scissors, while unknown mysteries lie sealed inside his human-skin pouch. Every time he uses his powers, he races against the curse. The price of each deal clings to him like a bone-deep affliction, slowly eating away at his life. In the mists of Ghost Lake, he has seen companions lose their lives to evil spirits. Amid the smoke of war between nations, he withstood the attacks of four kings, using his own flesh and blood to build a defensive line for those behind him. The Ghost Peddler's shoulder pole swayed past his eyes, carrying temptation and a death warrant in equal measure. But he had no other choice. “Every deal is both a path to survival and a road to death.” As the supernatural force within him began to spiral out of control and the Ghost Peddler's day of debt collection drew near, Cao Yang looked at the crumbling world behind him and tightened his grip on the scissors stained with ghost blood. His path through the ashes meant trading his own life for the chance that more people might live. Even if darkness would ultimately swallow him whole, he would burn up every last glimmer of light before going out.
