Mystery Revival: My Life Burns for Karma

The supernatural has returned, and evil spirits are impossible to kill. Only ghosts can fight ghosts, and those who control them are ultimately doomed to die when the spirits they command revive.

My name is Li Nuo. I command the terrifying “Ghost Child,” and I have been forced onto a quest to find the pieces of a mythic codename.

The Fire-Quenching Hairpin freezes my tenderness; the Mourning Staff feeds on my joy; the Soul-Binding Blood Sleeve drags me into a vortex of karma...

When these three deadly objects resonate in a desperate situation and become the “Karmic Flame Crimson Tassel Spear,” which burns away the supernatural, I gain the power to slay ghosts, and see the price clearly.

Everything the spear points at is the self it is burning.

When facing evil spirits, Yang Jian, a captain at headquarters, pursues the ultimate path of reason: the “Way of Heaven.”

Faced with the same desperate world, I grip the burning spear in my hand and choose a path utterly opposed to his:

I shall be the fuel, and burn through karma without end. Though the road ahead leads nowhere, I will live by facing death. (A fanfiction, faithful to the characters, no female lead, ensemble cast)
