Goodbye, and Goodbye Forever

On the way to take me home, Bai Haoyue got a phone call. He turned to me and said, “Shen Qing sprained her ankle. I have to go right now. Get out here.”

Just then, I got a call from the hospital saying my grandmother was critically ill. I grabbed his hand. “Take me to the hospital first!”

“Stop making a fuss. Take a cab!”

He kicked me out of the car, and in the pouring rain, I walked alone through the pitch-black night for two hours.

By the time I arrived, my grandmother was already gone.

At that moment, I knew it was time to let this relationship go.
