Golden Cudgel Chronicles: Chang’e’s Love and an Otherworldly Empire

Haoxuan walked straight into the main hall with Chang'e. In an instant, everyone's gaze in the hall fixed on Chang'e. Men and women alike stared in astonishment, unable to stop drooling. They had already seen the construction on the moon and been amazed by it, but now, seeing Chang'e dressed like this, they couldn't help thinking, "Oh my, so this is what real beauty looks like!" The goddesses could no longer sit still. Every one of them wished she could hurry back and put together an outfit just like Chang'e's. Haoxuan paid no attention to their reactions and went straight to the Jade Emperor, giving him a military salute. The gesture nearly scared the Jade Emperor into diving under the table. He thought Haoxuan was about to attack him, so Haoxuan quickly explained, "This is a military salute. It's how a subordinate greets their superiors." Only then did the Jade Emperor understand. He muttered, "Good heavens, that scared me half to death. I thought you were about to pull out the Golden Cudgel. I mean, we've gotten along pretty well these past few years." "Jade Emperor, I've come to discuss something with you. I'm planning to attack an alien civilization. I don't think the best way to get through this catastrophe is to keep defending. I want to strike first and buy more time for the moon's development. Maybe we can't avoid this catastrophe in the end, but I can try to delay it. That would give us a much better chance of winning, wouldn't it?"
