This Cultivation World Is a Little Weird, Weirdly Sick

I’m sorry to look back at this novel and realize I have absolutely no talent for comedy. While writing, I focused entirely on coming up with fun and funny scenes. The result was that the plot suffered badly. It wasn’t funny, it was rambling, and it didn’t feel like a story at all, just a pile of gags. To me, it has far too many flaws. The characters don’t work, and the plot is thin, clunky, and poorly paced. It’s nothing like what I imagined, and all of that has made it impossible for me to keep writing. Of course, I’m not abandoning it. I just want to rework it from the beginning and find a better balance for the pacing. For someone like me, with no gift for comedy, that might take a long time. The end result might still fall short, but I hope it can at least become something that feels like a story. Thank you to everyone who’s been quietly following along. I’m so sorry for leaving you hanging like this and making you read all those chapters for nothing. I’m truly, truly, truly sorry!!!
