Synopsis

If the characters in The Untamed could foresee the future, would all the tragedies that followed have been avoided? It is a question worth pondering. Imagine if Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji, and the others had the ability to see what lay ahead. They might have uncovered the Qishan Wen Clan's schemes in time and prevented the Sunshot Campaign from breaking out. Jiang Cheng could have avoided having Wen Zhuliu destroy his golden core, and the Yunmeng Jiang Clan might not have fallen. Jin Zixuan might have escaped the ambush at Qiongqi Path and lived happily with Jiang Yanli... But even if they had seen the tragedies to come, could they really have changed the course of fate? Perhaps, even knowing what the future held, people would still be swayed by their emotions and desires, unable to make entirely correct choices. Wei Wuxian might still have stood by his principles and protected Wen Qing's family, provoking a conflict with the cultivation clans. Jin Guangyao might still have craved power and status, clawing his way to the top by any means and ultimately alienating everyone around him. Besides, changing one thing often sets off a chain reaction, and no one can predict what those changes might bring. And even if they succeeded in preventing certain tragedies, new problems and challenges might soon follow. The world is always full of twists and uncertainty. No one can truly control everything. After all, the meaning of life lies not in avoiding tragedy, but in holding fast to your beliefs and moving forward bravely when faced with hardship and setbacks.
