Siheyuan: I Just Transmigrated, and the Jia Family Treats Me Like a Blood Bank

After an accident, Zhao Shanhe transmigrates into the TV drama Love in the Courtyard. He becomes a resident of the middle courtyard and takes a job at a small restaurant. After helping the owner bring in plenty of customers, he is rewarded that day with several boxes of delicious food, including one full of chicken. But before he can take a single bite, Qin Huairu snatches it right out of his hands when she comes to the Jia family’s home to discuss a marriage. Then the whole-courtyard meeting begins. Jia Dongxu is getting married but cannot afford the bride price, so he simply demands that Zhao Shanhe donate thirty yuan. Qin Huairu takes the moral high ground and condemns Zhao Shanhe for ruining someone else’s marriage. Yi Zhonghai sneers at him for being stingy and unable to contribute even a wedding gift, while Jia Zhangshi has no shame at all and gets up to go take the money from Zhao Shanhe’s room herself... Thanks to Zhao Shanhe’s clever plan, the Jia family is denounced by everyone, and he gets his box of chicken back. After that, he goes from kitchen helper to top chef, then to a famous businessman in the capital. Zhao Shanhe begins a happy new life.
