Siheyuan Showdown: Qin Huairu Loses It from the Start

In 1965, food was scarce and supplies were in short supply. At Courtyard No. 75 on Nanluoguxiang in the capital, a sky screen from a parallel world descends, showing the starkly different lives of two men named He Yuzhu. He Yuzhu watches the sky screen and sees himself helping Widow Qin support her household, only to end up dying miserably beneath a bridge. Then he looks at the other version of himself, clear-headed and free of the First Master's moral blackmail, who marries, has children, and lives a happy life. It seems he has suddenly come to his senses... Treasure your life and stay away from widows! Meanwhile, Qin Jingru sees herself doing everything she can to marry Xu Damao, only to end up divorced and without children to see her out... If she had chosen Silly Zhu as decisively as she did in the image on the screen, perhaps she would have been the one to live happily ever after. After watching, the First Master sits in thought for a long while. “Did I really do something wrong?” “But I only had the best interests of the majority at heart...” “I just wanted everyone in the courtyard to have someone to rely on in old age and someone to care for the young.” Only Qin Huairu watches with growing worry: “This is bad, this is bad!” “If Silly Zhu sees this, how am I supposed to get anything out of him from now on?”
