The Rabbit Always Wins

[Author’s note: This is badly written, don’t read it.] When Lin Moran meets Fu Ziyu again, her heart stirs. She gathers her courage and goes over to greet him, but he ignores her. Lin Moran thinks: Fine. Things ended so badly between us back then. The fact that he didn’t kick me out on the spot is already kind of him. == But she doesn’t expect to run into him again at work before long. Fu Ziyu is cold the entire time and doesn’t say a word to her. Lin Moran quietly avoids him too, until, near the end of the job, she overhears a conversation between Fu Ziyu and his assistant. Assistant: “CEO, you went to so much trouble to get Miss Lin here. At least say something to her!” Fu Ziyu: “Shut up.” == One rainy night, Lin Moran gets home after working late and sees Fu Ziyu in the dimly lit hallway. He seems to have been drinking. His gaze is a little unfocused, and... a little pathetic? “I can forgive you for leaving without a word.
