The Beloved Darling of a Strange World

A practice piece that crashed and burned An Su accidentally enters a bizarre world where every creature has a strange appearance and terrifying abilities. How is an ordinary, physically helpless human supposed to survive in a place like this? Fortunately, she meets a child with a pumpkin head and a giant axe, a child as pristine and exquisite as an elf, and a delicate, shy man-eating flower seedling... She grumbles inwardly that they’re all just children, but happily takes care of her “grown-up kids” all the same. Then she meets a tall, brave, taciturn patchwork man; a gigantic yet gentle and considerate sea beast; and a fiery-tempered monster dragon that breathes flames... As she encounters one strange creature after another, the images that keep flashing through her mind grow ever clearer. They all treat her well and worry constantly about her safety, but she still wants to return to her own world. After all, the three essentials of life for her aren’t water, air, and sunshine, but a phone, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi. But then a giant serpent fixes its blood-red, slit-pupiled eyes on her, its forked tongue brushing her cheek now and then as it declares imperiously, “I spent ten thousand years of my life finding you. You think you can leave without laying a few snake eggs? Not a chance! I’ll tear the doors and windows right off!”
