Comprehensive works. Compiled by Liu Shilian of the Qing Dynasty. Four volumes. Shi Lian, whose courtesy name was Qingchen, was from Shuangliu (now part of Sichuan). It was collected and compiled from various schools of thought and published in the twelfth year of Tongzhi (1873). Volume 1 is a general introduction to medicine, discussing basic theoretical issues of TCM such as yin and yang, viscera, and diagnostic methods; Volumes 2 to 3 introduce typhoid fever, febrile epidemics, miscellaneous internal diseases, obstetrics and gynecology, infants, and sores and ulcers; Volume 4 contains medical records, diagrams of the fourteen meridians, songs about meridian points, etc., As well as eight methods of Cheng Zhongling's medical discipline. There are original editions published in the twelfth year of Tongzhi, the Yiyuantang edition in the twelfth year of Guangxu (1886), the Shuangliu Liu edition in 1921 (with images), and the lithographed edition by Yixin Book Company, titled "Medical Guide".
