Traditional martial arts + no female lead + unattainable first love + scheming + play the pig to eat the tiger Fu Qingchi, young sect master of the Clearwind Sword Sect, was on his way home to marry when he received word that his parents had been besieged by martial artists who accused them of secretly keeping a martial arts manual. By the time he arrived, his parents had been reduced to bones. Overcome with grief, Fu Qingchi fought a crowd of masters on Green Cliff Mountain. Outnumbered and gravely wounded, he plunged off a cliff. Eight years later, under the assumed name Fu Yuan, Fu Qingchi attended the Gathering of Heroes hosted by the Martial Alliance. There he ran into an old friend he had not seen in eight years, and learned that his fiancee was about to marry again, this time to the elder brother he had believed dead. He also unexpectedly caught the attention of Ji Qingjiu, the newly arrived son of the prime minister. The world is full of surprises. After eight years of silence, Fu Qingchi had no choice but to step back into the fray. As one event after another unfolded, he began to suspect that the tragedy from years ago was not what it seemed. Along the way, he also realized that his heart had never truly left the martial world. A swordsman comes with his sword, and should return with it. The martial world is ever changing, and people come and go. Some travel through long years and still remain true to their original aspirations.
