How Is Steel Made?

He endured the unbearable pain of ordinary people, read extensively and intensively, pondered and thought, studied on his own for a long time, improved his cultural level and writing ability, and finally wrote an excellent novel "How the Steel Was Tempered", and continued to make outstanding contributions to the people despite his illness. Paul Korchagin became a role model for aspiring young people. During World War II, the book "How Steel Was Tempered" highlighted its special spiritual power in improving morale and inspiring fighting spirit. The book is sold in 47 countries and regions in 73 languages, with a total print run of more than 40 million copies. The book is divided into two parts with a total of 18 chapters. It is worth mentioning that, in view of the historical conditions and various reasons at the time, the publisher and the author made many omissions in the original version. When the Young Guards Press republished it in 1989, the originally deleted parts were attached to the back of the book in the form of an appendix.
