What does this have to do with Agon?
Bhikkhus such as Mahāda Tuo are also people with a strong sense of mission. They spread the teachings and let more people understand Buddhism. I think their behavior is admirable. The characters' distinct personalities, the king's enthusiasm and the monks' determination all left a deep impression on me. This book gave me a deeper understanding of the history and culture of Buddhism, which was very rewarding!
