Ultraman Blazar: A Hero of the New Century

Several years after Zhang Guanjie and Ultraman Decker parted ways,

his son Zhang Chi follows in his father’s footsteps and becomes an Ultraman too.

Zhang Guanjie’s eldest son, Zhang Chi, is a 23-year-old squadron leader in the Japanese garrison of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Air Force. Currently serving in the military, he has five years of combat experience. He has gathered squad members from Japan and China and trained them into elite soldiers. Serious, composed, and calm, he may seem cold on the outside, but he is warm-hearted within.

Zhang Guanjie’s younger daughter, Zhang Xin, is 18 and has just graduated from high school. She plans to apply to Tsinghua University. Unlike her seemingly cold older brother, she is lively, sunny, kind, sweet, and gentle.

One night, as Zhang Guanjie chats with his children, a monster suddenly appears. Zhang Xin is trapped beneath a collapsed building while trying to save her parents. Zhang Chi ignores his team’s protests and rushes to save his sister. Just as his life hangs by a thread,

a blue light flies into his hand and transforms into a Blazar Bracelet.

Before he can react,

Ultraman Blazar takes control of his hand

and forces a transformation.

And so,

a second hero appears in the real world: Ultraman Blazar.

Though he is not Ultraman Decker,

once he becomes a Giant of Light,

he is as brave and strong as his father.

Compared with his sister,

Zhang Guanjie is much stricter with Zhang Chi.

Yet it is in this very environment

that Zhang Chi becomes a special forces champion and the host of the New Generation Ultraman.
